Lemon Pudding is a fresh dessert that you can try to make yourself at home. Besides being easy, the ingredients are also easy to get. The taste of sour and sweet immediately tasted this soft Lemon Pudding.

Ingredients

  • 3 large eggs, separated, separate the white and yolk

  • 1 cup milk

  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2/3 cup sugar

  • 4 tablespoons golden syrup

  • 1 tablespoon butter, at room temperature for greasing

  • 2 teaspoons lemon zest

  • Lightly sweetened whipped cream

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Brush the ramekins with butter and put in a baking dish.
  • In a small bowl, add 4 tablespoons of golden syrup and 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and beat thoroughly then divide evenly between the ramekins.
  • In another small bowl, add the egg whites and beat until soft.
  • Meanwhile, in a large bowl, add the lemon zest, sugar, and egg yolk. Shake well. Alternately, add milk and flour 3 times, then add 1/4 cup of lemon juice. Shake well. Gently add the beaten egg whites to the mixture using a rubber spatula. Pour the batter into the ramekins, filling them to about 1/4 inch from the top. Pour hot water into the roasting pan until it is about half the ramekins. Bake the cake for 45 minutes or until the cake expands and turns light brown on top. Remove the cake from the oven and soak it in water for 10 minutes before carefully removing it.
  • Place the plate on the ramekin and turn it over. You can use a paring knife along the side of the ramekin if the cake doesn’t come off naturally. Coat with treacle sauce on top. Serve warm with a little whipped cream. Enjoy !!
