Root Beer is a North American sweet, frothy, and carbonated drink traditionally made from extracts from the roots of the flower tree or grape Sassafras albidum (sassafras) or sarsaparilla (Smilax ornata vines) mixed with cane sugar, yeast, and water. and will be allowed to ferment for 12 hours. Ingredients

  • 3 teaspoon Root Beer Flavoring

  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 3/4 cup chocolate messes for sprinkle

  • 3/4 cup melted vanilla Candiquik

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 4 egg whites room temperature

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees. And line a baking sheet with butter or nonstick paper.
  • Prepare a bowl, add 4 egg whites and beat with a mixer for 30 seconds until the eggs are fluffy and foamy. Add 1 tablespoon white vinegar, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and beat again. Slowly add 1 cup granulated sugar while shaking it continuously.
  • Make sure you continue to beat it, add 3 teaspoons of Root Beer Flavoring, and beat again for 4-5 minutes until a stiff dough peaks form. Pour it into a piping bag or zip lock bag and clip the ends with a star-shaped pipe. Place the dough onto the pan by squeezing it.
  • Bake in a 200-degree oven for 80 minutes or until the meringues are cooked through and lightly browned. Let it cool for 8 hours or overnight.
  • Dip half of the meringue cake into melted vanilla Candiquik and sprinkle with chocolate messes and let the chocolate harden.

Notes

  • You can dip the entire meringue cake into the Candiquik melted vanilla or just the tip. Adjust to your needs.
